Rodent tail/ear Sample Submission Guidelines

• Please send a copy of the custom order form provided with your rodent tails/ears shipment.

• Samples should be submerged in 70% ethanol.

• Samples should be in 1.5mL or 2.omL microcentrifuge tubes snap-top tubes, not screwtop tubes.  Please call about 96-well plate format. 

• Each tube should be well-marked with the sample number/description matching the numbers/description on the order form.  Recommended: wrap the tube with clear tape over the writing to further protect it and prevent smudging.

• Seal lids of tubes by wrapping with parafilm to prevent leaking of ethanol. 

• Recommended: Collect tubes in a ziplock and send with blue ice in a styrofoam container.
